What you get
Most men's cuts fail in one of two places: the outline, or the transition between lengths. We spend the time on both. Your appointment covers:
- A short consultation on what you liked and did not like about your last cut.
- A look at your growth pattern dry, especially the crown and the hairline.
- The cut itself, whether that is a taper, a fade, scissor work on top, or a longer shape.
- A clean neckline and around the ears.
- A quick style with whatever product suits your hair, and honest advice on how much to use.
Who it suits
This works whether you want a tight fade, a classic side part, or something longer that you can push back and forget. It also works if you have been getting the same cut for years and want to know what else would suit your face and hairline.
Thinning on top is worth talking about openly. There are shapes that work with it rather than drawing attention, and your stylist will tell you plainly which ones.
How often to come back
Short and faded shapes look best on a two to four week cycle, because the outline is doing the work. Longer shapes stretch to six or eight weeks. Book your next one before you leave if you are on a tight cycle; the appointments closest to the weekend go first.
Between cuts
- Less product than you think. Most men use double what the hair needs.
- Match the product to the finish you want. Clay for matte and hold, cream for softness, pomade for shine.
- Wash less often if your hair runs dry, more often if your scalp runs oily. Neither is a rule.
- A neck trim between cuts keeps a shape looking fresh longer.

Do I need an appointment?
Booking online is the reliable way to get the time you want, and it is open around the clock. If you need something last minute, call the front desk at 706-604-1862 and they will tell you what is genuinely open today.
How do I explain what I want?
A photo beats a description every time. Numbers help too if you know them, but they are not consistent between clippers and salons, so a photo plus "shorter than last time on the sides" gets you further than a guard number alone.
How short is a taper versus a fade?
A taper shortens gradually toward the neckline and ears and keeps more length overall. A fade takes the sides down much closer, often to the skin, with a blended transition. A taper grows out more forgivingly; a fade looks sharpest in the first two weeks.
Can you cut my son's hair at the same time?
Yes. Children's cuts are on the menu as their own service, so book both so we can allow the right amount of time. See the children's haircuts page.
Do you do beard trims?
Ask the front desk when you book. They will tell you what is on the current menu and who is available for it rather than us listing something here that may have changed.
